I was smiling,
and so was she.
Our hands intertwined,
like a knot on a rope.
We were walking down the path of no return,
To the garden of Eden.
We walked through a tunnel,
Formed by trees,
It was nice to be able to just,
Walk,
Underneath the moonlight.
The path began to clear,
And we reached a field,
A large one.
There was hill,
In the middle,
At the top,
Was a large tree.
I raced my companion to the top.
She won.
I looked up at the magnificent tree,
As did she.
It was beautiful,
And so was she.
I stared at her,
I walked up to her,
Grabbed her hands,
And kissed her softly.
She kissed back.
"what was that for?"
She asked.
I told her,
"for being so amazing"
She smiled and put her head on my shoulder,
Wrapping her arms around my neck.
I wrapped my arms around her waist.
We were oblivious to the outside world,
As to what was going on around us in the surrounding forest.
The fires couldn't reach us here,
For this,
Is the Garden of Eden.
This was our sanctuary,
As Adam and Eve before us.
